Jobs

Jobs are the top-level project record used by schedules, time, expenses, WBS, budgets, permissions, and integrations.

  1. Open Setup > Master > Jobs.
  2. Create a job with a stable code, clear name, type/status, organizational ownership, and required dates.
  3. Add project-location information when location-aware field workflows use it.
  4. Save the job, then create or map its phases and cost codes.
  5. Assign job permissions before asking restricted users to work with it.

Avoid changing a source-system job code after integration begins. If a code must change, update mappings and test both inbound and outbound workflows.
