WBS setup

Open Setup > WBS to maintain WBS Code, Item Group, and Items. These records extend the project hierarchy used by budgets, commitments, actual costs, and cost-to-complete forecasts.

Create parent/group records before dependent items. Use codes compatible with the external accounting source and avoid reusing a retired code for a different meaning. After setup, validate a representative initial-budget row and confirm that it appears under the intended WBS hierarchy.

If a cost record appears under the wrong branch, correct its coding or integration mapping rather than changing the hierarchy solely to make the report balance.
