Installation and sign-in
Before installation
Use only the build and environment approved by your organization. Ask an administrator to confirm that:
- your SpaceRivers user is active;
- the user is linked to the correct employee;
- a field passcode is configured when passcode access is required;
- your role includes the necessary schedule, time, and expense permissions; and
- the employee has access to the intended jobs and cost codes.
Phone layouts use portrait orientation. Supported tablet builds can also adapt to the tablet orientation.
First launch
- Open the app and complete the onboarding screens.
- Enter your email address and password.
- Select Remember me only on a private, organization-approved device.
- If prompted to replace a temporary password, complete the change before continuing.
- Allow the initial employee, company, preferences, job, phase, cost-code, rate-code, expense-type, and unit data to load.
- Enter your configured passcode to open Home.
The allowed passcode length can be four, five, or six digits according to the user preference supplied by the tenant.
Returning to the app
When an account session is already stored, the app opens the passcode screen. While online, successful passcode verification refreshes the session and starts a background data refresh. If the service cannot be reached, a previously saved account can continue with its local data when offline access is available.
If the same passcode matches more than one account saved on the device, select the correct company and user. The app requests the account password to verify that selection.
Forgot password or passcode
- From password sign-in, select Forgot Password, enter the registered email, and follow the temporary-password instructions.
- From passcode access, return to password sign-in or ask an administrator to reset the field passcode. Do not repeatedly guess a passcode.
Required device permissions
SpaceRivers requests capabilities only when the workflow needs them:
- Location for location-controlled clock-in or clock-out.
- Camera for required identity photos or new receipt images.
- Photos/files for receipt attachments.
- Notifications for schedule and workflow alerts.
Denying a required permission can prevent that specific action from completing.
